Thanks to the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast for the following: Former WWE Star Rosa Mendes was a recent guest on the Pancakes and Powerslams Show to discuss her journey of returning back to the ring after retiring last year. Mendes discussed her run in WWE, why she moved from wrestling to managing, her fan criticism, […]
“The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart is 75 years old but you would never know it by looking at him because he looks great. It seems unlikely that WWE would want to bring in managers (Paul Heyman is an advocate) but Hart seems interested in managing a WWE Superstar. He made his pitch when […]
Last week, we wrote about Goldberg being inducted into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame by Paul Heyman and the reason why they chose Heyman to do the honors. Basically, Heyman and Goldberg are friends but there is more to the story. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter also noted that Heyman largely produced […]
We are just about a week away from WrestleMania and the John Cena vs. The Undertaker is not “official” on WWE television. Cena has continued to call out Taker on WWE television and, as you can see below, he’s doing the same on social media. It’s not clear if The Undertaker will actually be at […]
There are a lot of rumors floating around on Rey Mysterio. The one thing we know for sure is that Mysterio has committed to at least 2 (maybe 3) matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling. At last weekend’s Strong Style Evolved show, they did an angle that basically set up future matches with Will Ospreay […]
We are just days away from WWE’s biggest show of the year. WrestleMania 34 is a huge deal for New Orleans because it coincides with the 300th anniversary of the city and that was used as part of the sales pitch to get Mania locked in for this year. Well, you can expect a ton […]
WrestleMania 34 is coming up fast and everyone booked for the Show Of Shows needs to be at the peak of their game. This is why it’s so important for them to focus their training at this point because there’s little time to prepare and no turning back as they head toward NOLA. Jinder Mahal […]
Shawn Michaels is a WWE Hall Of Famer who has seen plenty of outstanding talent in the ring. He has witnessed happy times and tragedy because pro wrestling is often a mixture of the two. HBK not only influenced generations to excel in the ring but he also had a huge part in training Daniel […]
It was sort of a surprise to hear Hillbilly Jim’s name announced as the WWE Hall Of Fame’s Class Of 2018, but his iconic character is certainly deserving of the honor. Jim recently said that he would like to have Hulk Hogan induct him into the WWE Hall Of Fame and while that isn’t happening […]
Johnny Gargano isn’t the only one who didn’t want to grow up because he wanted to be a Toys R Us kid. The retail giant meant a lot to children all over for a very long time. But after a series of bad business breaks and poor corporate judgment this beloved company is biting the […]
There are a few outstanding tag teams in WWE that fans would all love to see mix it up in the ring with the Young Bucks. Nick and Matt Jackson possess an ability to mix it up with anyone on another level, but if they had a battle of the Superkicks with The Usos it […]
Former WCW Champion Vader took to Twitter on Friday night to give fans an update on his health. As previously noted, he underwent open heart surgery on Monday. His son Jesse noted that the surgery was a success but things were worse than expected. Aside from that comment, there’s no word on Vader’s prognosis going […]
TMZ Sports caught up with Hulk Hogan at LAX following the Andre The Giant documentary premiere. Hogan was asked about Mark Henry’s recent comments about not being quite ready for Hogan to return to WWE until Hogan specifically addresses the African-American wrestlers in the business for using the N-word years ago. Hogan agrees with Henry […]
Brock Lesnar’s status after WrestleMania is still up in the air. It’s likely he could see a lot of money for even fewer dates with the UFC and go back to MMA. But never say never in WWE because Vince McMahon has pulled off unexpected deals before. But on the Road To WrestleMania 34, The […]
Who will Daniel Bryan face when he returns to in-ring competition at WrestleMania? Who will challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”? Who has been added to the United States Title match at WrestleMania? Who has been added to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal?
Wakanda was well represented today in Washington, DC … as New Day attended a popular convention in Black Panther cosplay.
Xavier Woods shared a photo of the group at Awesome Con on Friday to show off their costumes — Kofi Kingston as T’Challa, Big E as M’Baku, costume designer Mikal Mosley as Zuri and Woods himself as Killmonger — while also revealing he shaved his body hair to pull off the look.
The positive buzz for Impact Wrestling continues. This week’s show drew 399,000 viewers. That is up from last week’s show and it’s the most watched episode in 20 months and the second higest rated show since they moved to Pop TV. The strategy is to put on a solid show every week and cut out […]
Thanks to MLW for the following: beIN SPORTS ADDS MAJOR LEAGUE WRESTLING TO ITS GROWING SPORTS ROSTER Network to Broadcast Major League Wrestling: FUSION as Part of Its Weekly Programming Line-up MIAMI, FL – March 30, 2018 – beIN SPORTS has added Major League Wrestling® to its impressive and diverse list of sports coverage. The Bullet Club is fine, but apparently, they need a new logo for some reason. Of course, this might get tricky seeing how many fans out there own the old BC logo on their clothing. In fact, it’s hard to go some places without seeing the Bullet Club insignia all over the place, especially pro […]
Jeff Jarrett is finally finding his rightful place in the WWE Hall Of Fame and by the look of it, he’s experiencing an all-around welcome back as well. Double J recently updated fans to let them know that while he’s in NOLA for the WrestleMania and Hall Of Fame activities that he will be up […]
Rusev is a very hungry Bulgarian and he needs food when he wants it. Now it looks like one popular restaurant chain isn’t on his good list because they won’t deliver to his house even if it’s Rusev Day. The Lion Of Bulgaria recently sent out a warning to Pizza Hut saying that he was […]
We might remember Tammy Lynn Sytch fondly as Sunny when she pranced around while her theme song proclaimed, “you know you want me.” But in recent years she’s found herself on the wrong side of the law a couple times. PW Insider confirms Tammy Sytch requested revocation of her parole in Carbon County Court in Pennslyvania […]
There was an ugly incident at the Impact Wrestling: One Night Only show in Salinas, California on Thursday night. It was a co-promoted show with Big Time Wrestling that featured a mix of active Impact stars and non-signed wrestlers. As you can see in the video below, Big Time Wrestling’s Devin Danger was making his […]
When someone is released from WWE that isn’t always the end of the story. After all, if someone does a good enough job maintaining their brand they can go out into the world’s amazing indie wrestling scene and capture a lot of attention and cash. Jack Swagger was wished the best in his future endeavors […]
Indie wrestling events are being severely limited in Lousiana in regards to what they can do in the ring. A detailed list is floating around social media and it’s pretty extensive and somewhat over-the-top. There is no pun intended but indie events are literally prohibited from sending anyone over the top rope for any spot. But as […]
This is interesting timing especially considering how many pieces of merchandise are currently sitting on the shelves of Hot Topic stores all over the country. But apparently, even though they’re fine it’s time for a change in the Bullet Club. In a surprising announcement, Cody Rhodes took to Twitter and announced that the classic Bullet Club logo […]
It looks like all is well between WWE and Hulk Hogan because Hogan and Triple H met up at HBO’s premiere screening for the Andre The Giant documentary. Hogan’s appearance was set up by HBO and there were several other notable names in attendance including The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry and Stephanie McMahon. […]
At this point, it looks like WWE is going to make fans wait until WrestleMania so they can find out who will be teaming with Braun Strowman against Sheamus and Cesaro. Sports Illustrated is reporting that Rey Mysterio will be Strowman’s partner. Yes, I am aware that SI.com has been hit and miss with inside […]
Going into this week’s Smackdown Live, creative appeared to have nothing for Rusev to do at WrestleMania and it was assumed that he would be in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. It was mindboggling to think that they couldn’t put him in a featured match especially since he is so over with the […]
A few weeks ago on Smackdown Live, WWE introduced a “Smackdown Top 10” list and the idea was for the talent to vote. It was never made clear what the long-term plans were for the top 10 list but it seemed to be a mix of some sort of ranking system and a tool for […]
It’s no secret that FOX is interested in picking up WWE and now chances have seemingly increased for a deal to happen. As reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a lot of talk that UFC television negotiations are not going well. UFC hoped to have a deal locked up by the end of […]
WWE announced the following: USA Network, the exclusive cable home to WWE’s flagship TV programs Raw and SmackDown LIVE, will again provide expanded access to WrestleMania, WWE’s biggest event of the year. Throughout the week of April 2, the network will broadcast special- event programming leading up to WrestleMania, along with the regularly scheduled Monday […]
During the last week or so, we’ve been getting emails from readers asking if the rumors about “The American Basass” version of The Undertaker would be returning at WrestleMania. I’ve been able to do some digging and there seems to be some smoke to these rumors. We were told that WWE is keeping The Undertaker’s […]
A couple of readers sent word to us that Dean Ambrose was spotted in Birmingham to see Dr. James Andrews. When Ambrose went down with a triceps tear, the word from WWE was that he would be out of action for nine months so it does not look like he will be back in action […]
Hulk Hogan is scheduled to attend tonight’s premiere of the HBO documentary on Andre the Giant, but a rep for WWE says it does NOT mean Hulkster is being rehired.
The movie will be screened for the first time this evening in Los Angeles and Hulk is heavily featured in the doc, which WWE was involved in making with Bill Simmons.
A rep for WWE tell us, “Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant’s history, however his appearance at tonight’s HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him.”
The statement also says, “Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events.”
As we previously reported, PWInsider claims the two sides have been in talks about a possible return and WWE confirmed they’ve had discussions. This new statement seems to imply that it was Hogan who initiated the discussion about moving forward though and nothing has been set in stone.
Hulk Hogan is in Los Angeles for the HBO premiere screening for the Andre The Giant documentary. TMZ Sports caught up with Hogan and Jimmy Hart as they arrived at LAX and Hogan is outright saying that he will not be at WrestleMania 34. He said, “No WrestleMania brother.” He added, “Maybe someday brother.” As […]
Roman Reigns is destined to be the face of WWE whether smark fans like it or not. But the Big Dog’s journey won’t end after WrestleMania where he is likely to walk away as the Universal Champion and he needs people to line up and face him as he starts his reign as champion. Samoa Joe hasn’t […]
The indie wrestling world might be the brightest it’s been since the territory days. At this point, a top pro wrestler doesn’t need to be attached to a huge company to make a living as so many have already proved. Jeff Cobb is one of the top names in indie wrestling for a reason. His […]
When people first heard Starrcade was coming back they were very excited. This Thanksgiving tradition dates back decades but wasn’t seen since WWE bought out WCW. But WWE brought a huge Starrcade show to the Greensboro Coliseum on November 25th last year and everyone loved it who was lucky enough to attend. After all, for some […]
It was really nice when Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns finally got the band back together and reformed The Shield. The Hounds Of Justice were set to do battle at TLC in a grand return but a case of the mumps caused Reigns to be sidelined. Of course, we got Kurt Angle’s in-ring […]
WWE is a massive company so they will naturally have a vested interest in their product and how they’re portrayed. If you’ve ever been to a WWE event then you might have noticed people standing outside selling items with the WWE logo on them claiming to be legit but they seldom are unless you’re at […]
Ric Flair scared a lot of people when he experienced an awful health issue last Summer. This medical nightmare caused for him to be put into a medically induced coma and rushed into emergency surgery where he had quite a bit of his bowels removed. Since then, The Nature Boy has recuperated and seems to be […]
How did Shinsuke Nakamura continue to play mind games with AJ Styles? How did Rusev earn his way into the United States Title match at WrestleMania? What challenge did Daniel Bryan have for Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn? Was The New Day able to get revenge against The Bludgeon Brothers? How did Becky Lynch deal with The Riott Squad?
The American Legion Hall has become synonymous with PWG over the years, but the company just announced they’re permanently leaving Reseda.
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s account tweeted, “PWG says goodbye to Reseda. The final three shows at the American Legion Hall will take place on April 20th/21st, and May 25th!”
While their new home isn’t stated … it would be safe to assume it is The Globe Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, a bigger venue where Time is a Flat Circle just took place due to a ticketing error that caused the event to oversell.
EDITORS NOTE: I was at the recent PWG event at The Globe and most in attendance seemed to be very happy with the upgrade. There was plenty of parking, three bars, an awesome LED screen, a balcony and air conditioning. The only complaints I heard were in regards to the overpriced drinks and the sketchiness of waiting in line near skid row.
Check out photos of Time is a Flat Circle at The Globe Theatre below.
There was some worry that The Miz might have to preempt some WrestleMania activities due to the fact that his wife Maryse was pregnant and due very close to the Show Of Shows. But it looks like Maryse gave birth to a healthy baby girl a few weeks earlier than expected. Monroe Sky Mizanin just couldn’t […]
I read some of the criticisms about my work and the broadcast in general but essentially people want, the die-hards who follow New Japan World, they want their team. They want Kevin Kelly and Don Callis to do the show. I don’t blame them. I don’t even get mad about it. The only thing that gets frustrating is when you’ve got wrestling fans who’ve got like 40 followers on Twitter that tell you, “your career sucks,” and that you should be dead or not allowed to be on television. That’s kind of crude, I think. Does that really feel necessary for not knowing the certain name of a certain hold?
I have a pet peeve about that deal, to be honest with you. A bodyslam is a God damned bodyslam. You can give it 18 different names to sell t-shirts, that’s fine and I don’t care but to me it’s a bodyslam. We find ourselves talking about this variant or that variant and worry about not pissing off the talent because we didn’t give their hold a name or use the name they use in their niche marketing. I find it almost embarrassing to be quite frank about it.
Sound off in the comments below and tell us what you think of Good Ole JR’s belief.
Former WWE star Jimmy Yang helped a group of young girls win a championship last week, in basketball (not wrestling), and Yang says it was like walking into his first WrestleMania.
Jimmy tells us his local school district does an annual March madness tournament as a fundraiser and this year he coached the 6th grade girls team to victory over the whole thing.
“I love my girls and I’m very proud of them.” Yang adds, “My teams have always been runner-ups, and we have come so close, but we never won the big one and seeing my girls finally win the big one is the same feeling I got when I walked out at my first WrestleMania at MSG. What a ruuuussshh!! Yeehaw!!”
Fabulous Moolah‘s name was removed from an upcoming match at WrestleMania 34 partly due to online backlash over an article on Sweet Georgia Brown that claimed the WWE Hall of Famer forced her into sex work — but Brown’s son is now saying the allegations are bs.
Michael McCoy was interviewed for a Change.org petition attempting to “preserve the correct legacy of The Fabulous Moolah” and he’s adamant she didn’t pimp out his now deceased mother.
For those unaware, an article came out in 2006 on McCoy’s attempt to find his father — who he believes is Buddy Lee, Moolah’s ex-husband/business partner — and Michael’s sister told the publication her mother once revealed she was drugged/raped under their watch and badly beaten if she refused to have sex with men sent to her hotel room.
However … her son says, “I come to say today, that’s not true. That’s not true at all. Especially knowing the Moolah that I had grew to know.”
Adding, “I’m not a fake. I’m not a phony and I’m not fronting today. And nobody is coercing me to say what I’m saying. Moolah did the right thing and she helped my mother.”
McCoy also says his sister didn’t like Moolah and implies that she had an agenda.
Big E is on fire right now as a member of the New Day but it took a long road to get there. When the former USA Powerlifting Champion signed with WWE he cut his teeth in FCW which was WWE’s developmental territory before it became NXT. He was given the name Big E Langston […]
It’s not often you see a WWE referee get in on the action, but last night on Rusev Day Danilo Anfibio hit a superkick on the man the holiday was named after.
The encounter went down after SmackDown Live during a 6-man tag team match pitting AJ Styles and The Usos against Rusev, Aiden English and Baron Corbin when Anfibio was convinced by Styles to replace him in the group/pop his top off.
Danilo, Jimmy and Jey then hit synchronized superkicks on Rusev, English and Corbin for the win.
Watch both videos below (one of which shows “the referee” being announced as winner).
Lilian Garcia is headed to WrestleMania where she will announce the first-ever Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royal. A lot of people are very excitied Lilian is on her way back to the WWE Universe, including her. She recently had the chance to unload about how much not only WrestleMania means to her, but the entire WWE […]
Kane is a very busy man because one day he can main event Raw against John Cena and the next time we see him a couple days later he’s on Fox Business wearing a suit in full candidate mode. The Big Red Machine is looking to become Mayor of Knox County Tennessee and he has some […]
It looks like Shane McMahon will somehow be able to work WrestleMania even though things weren’t looking good at all. But this just goes to show how much McMahons love professional wrestling because WrestleMania is their lifeblood. During the time when people were unsure McMahon could work Mania, some thought it would be interesting to bring […]
WrestleMania is a huge show and it’s very long. But there are actually more matches booked than can fit on the main show. After all, the kickoff show for Mania is usually two hours long so they have a couple matches in that time. The kickoff show is available for free through all forms of […]
Several weeks ago when we listed the card for last weekend’s Madison Square Garden show, we noted that Bayley was listed as Elias’ tag team partner in a match against John Cena and Nikki Bella. It was an odd pairing considering that Elias is a heel and Bayley is supposed to be a beloved character. […]
205 Live may be getting tag team championships soon … because WWE included what appears to be a design for the belts in recently filed court documents.
TMZ first reported that WWE filed legal docs in an effort to temporarily restrain bootleggers in New Orleans from selling merchandise WrestleMania 34 weekend, but one item listed in the supporting documents caught our eye.
WWE submitted a ton of their designs/trademarks to the court and amongst them is a picture of what appears to be a 205 Live Tag Team Championship … something that hasn’t been revealed yet.
Check out the photo below and tell us what you think in the comments.
There were some changes made to the WrestleMania card on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live. Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn has been added to the card. Shane McMahon remains hospitalized but Bryan indicated that he should be fine in time for the pay-per-view. Click here for the […]
Daniel Bryan kicked off the second hour of Smackdown Live to make a big announcement. Bryan said that he was going to give Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn one more opportunity. Bryan proposed a WrestleMania match. Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is what he proposed. The proposal comes with a […]
It looks like there is nothing to worry about in regards to Charlotte Flair’s status going into WrestleMania 34. The Wrestling Observer website is reporting that the injury reported on WWE.com is nothing major and she will not be out of action for too long. Flair underwent dental surgery for a mouth infection last Wednesday. […]
SmackDown Women’s champ CharlotteFlair will not compete on Mixed Match Challenge tonight due to injury and a fan-vote will determine her replacement.
WWE.com published a poll allowing fans to choose between Becky Lynch, Carmella and Lana as Bobby Roode‘s partner tonight against Finn Balor and Sasha Banks, but no information was given on Charlotte’s apparent injury.
Flair was also removed from tonight’s SD Live preview, which announced she’d be wrestling Natalya. We’ll keep you updated if further information becomes available.
For now, check out Becky Lynch’s promo asking for your pick and CLICK HERE to vote.
WWE has announced that Charlotte Flair is injured. Her injury means that she will be pulling out of tonight’s Mixed Match Challenge. A fan vote will determine who will replace Flair as Roode’s partner. She was scheduled to team with Bobby Roode and take on Finn Balor and Sasha Banks. She was also advertised to […]
The popular show Forged in Fire is getting a spinoff series on History Channel hosted by former Universal Champion Bill Goldberg … and it looks pretty bad ass.
The press release announcing the show explains:
The nation’s top bladesmiths, martial artists and knife experts slice, stab and chop their way through some of the most daunting obstacle courses ever seen in HISTORY’s new nonfiction competition series “Forged in Fire: Knife or Death” premiering Tuesday, April 17 at 10PM ET/PT. Hosted by WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg, the six episode series features fearless competitors as they race against the clock putting their blades and blade-wielding skills through a grueling gauntlet of challenges such as slicing through flying watermelons, hacking through massive ice blocks and severing various types of ropes, tubes, metals and item-filled crates.
TL;DR – The show basically sounds like Forged in Fire meets American Ninja Warrior.
It’s been a long time since Sami Zayn put on his famous mask and became El Generico but it looks like since Zayn was fired the generic luchador character could be experiencing a 2nd life. We previously reported how Kevin Owens changed his name on Twitter and lost his verified status. It looks like Sami Zayn […]
As noted earlier, Ronda Rousey will be doing a ton of interviews leading up to WrestleMania 34 to promote her match. I am sure that WWE is thrilled that they can get the extra publicity heading into the biggest show of the year but Rousey doesn’t seem too thrilled having to answer questions about her […]
Robert Downey Jr. announced the voice cast of his upcoming Dr. Dolittle film today and John Cena was amongst the celebrities listed.
The movie is called “The Voyage of Dr. Dolittle” and will star RDJ in the titular role, as well as Cena playing a polar bear named Yoshi.
Additional characters include Selena Gomez as a giraffe, Emma Thompson as a parrot, Rami Malek as a gorilla, Octavia Spencer as a duck, Ralph Fiennes as a tiger, Kumail Nanjiani as an ostrich, Craig Robinson as a mouse, Tom Holland as a dog and Marion Cotillard as a fox.
For those unaware, the children’s book character of Dr. Dolittle can talk to animals and was last seen on the big screen in two movies starring Eddie Murphy.
John Cena’s movie career is picking up in a big way and it looks like he just snagged another film role that could amount to some big things down the line. Duke Nukem was one of our favorite video games back in the day and since we live in a time were everything is experiencing a […]
Shane McMahon has reportedly been hospitalized with diverticulitis and today he shared a photo from the New York medical facility where he’s “healing up.”
WWE.com first shared the news yesterday saying Shane “developed a massive infection due to acute diverticulitis and was hospitalized for several days in Antigua before being flown back to a New York-area hospital, where he is currently being treated with heavy doses of antibiotics.”
The following was sent to us by The Matt Riviera Show: 9 Women Wrestlers From “Camp Moolah” Denounce Allegations Against The Fabulous Moolah Recent social media outrage has led to the WWE removing the name of legendary women’s wrestler, the late Fabulous Moolah’s (Lillian Ellison) name from a planned featured Women’s Battle Royal, which was to […]
WWE has announced three matches for tonight’s Smackdown Live broadcast. Shinsuke Nakamura will take on Shelton Benjamin. AJ Styles wrestled in multi-man matches over the weekend so it looks like he will be healthy enough for WrestleMania and he could get physically involved tonight. WWE noted that all three members of The New Day are […]
Ronda Rousey is starting to do media for WWE ahead of WrestleMania 34. On Tuesday, she was on ESPN Radio’s “Golic and Wingo” and she was asked if she was done fighting. It was an awkward exchange and Rousey seemed annoyed with the host. Rousey was asked when she decided that she was done fighting. […]
WrestleMania 34 is less than two weeks away and it appears they’re already hard at work on the WrestleMania stage inside the Super Dome. After all, they dressed up the building for the Show Of Shows four years ago so WWE should know the building well. We previously reported on a possible leaked design of the […]
Fans of WCW were probably happy to see WCW Thunder added to the WWE Network earlier this month. Well, if you were a fan of WCW during the early 90’s then there is even more good news to report. WWE Network News is reporting that a large amount of WCW Saturday Night episodes will be […]
Jeff Jarrett made a lot of great impressions in the pro wrestling community throughout his amazing career and as he enters the WWE Hall Of Fame a very familiar face will do the honors of inducting him. Road Dogg might be the head honcho of SmackDown Live at this point, but there was a day […]
It’s hard not to be a fan of Shane McMahon. Vince’s baby boy has participated in several key moments from WWE History and it looks like he will continue to do so as well. He just needs to get over his current medical issue. We previously reported that Shane-O Mac is hospitalized in a New […]
It seems like Absolution just can’t catch a break. But at least Ronda Rousey didn’t break Mandy Rose’s arm on Raw this week. Even though the Absolution girls avoided Rousey’s full wrath on Raw it didn’t help their luck with the police. Because the two Raw Superstars were pulled over by authorities both before and […]
You could say this is all Rusev’s fault but that’s not really a bad thing. After all, it’s been pretty entertaining. The Lion Of Bulgaria tweeted out that he needed a celebrity to fight at WrestleMania which is an ideal way to get on the card. What he didn’t expect was Macaulay Culkin to answer his […]
John Cena and The Undertaker are apparently going to have a match at WrestleMania even though The Dead Man has remained totally silent during the entire build toward the match. Instead, Cena went off on Taker in a humanizing way talking about his ego while inciting the crowd to chant “do something” in a series […]
WrestleMania is less than two weeks away and just when it looked like WWE had the entire card ready to go, Shane McMahon experiences a major setback and now he’s in the hospital awaiting surgery. But before he can go under the knife, his doctors need to get rid of a massive infection in his […]
Did The Undertaker answer John Cena’s challenge for WrestleMania? Was John Cena able to best The Undertaker’s brother Kane in a No Disqualification Match? What happened when Roman Reigns showed up unexpectedly to confront Brock Lesnar? What happened when Ronda Rousey was confronted by Absolution? How did the fragile friendship of Sasha Banks and Bayley finally implode? How did The Miz try to outsmart Finn Balor and Seth Rollins? Was Nia Jax able to best Mickie James with Alexa Bliss watching from ringside?
We’re DEFINITELY NOT saying El Generico and Sami Zayn are the same person … but if they were, this tweet may have been dropped to further the storyline that Sami and Kevin Owens, who is using the name Kevin Steen on Twitter again, were fired from SmackDown Live.
But that would only be if they were the same person. Which they’re not.
Several readers sent word that WWE sent out an email to them to let them know that Dean Ambrose has been pulled from his WrestleMania Axxess appearance. He was scheduled to appear at 10 am on the day of WrestleMania. He has also been pulled from scheduled World Of Wheels appearances that were set up […]
Wrestling legend Vader went under the knife today for open heart surgery and afterward his son provided an update saying it was successful, but the situation was worse than expected.
Vader spoke in-depth with Bill Apter about the surgery before it happened and called himself a “walking time bomb” due to having ten clogged blood vessels.
The wrestler’s son Jesse tweeted from his dad’s account hours after the surgery saying, “I wanted to let everybody know that I just spoke to the Surgeon. The surgery was a success but it was worse than we had expected. Long road for recovery. Will keep you posted. Thank you for the prayers.”
In addition to tonight’s Kane vs. John Cena match, WWE has added a Cruiserweight tag team match for tonight’s Monday Night Raw. This would be the first cruiserweight match since Triple H took over as the man in charge of the brand. There’s a good reason why you have been seeing more cruiserweight tag team […]
We would like to send along best wishes to Vader. He underwent full open heart surgery on Monday and, while it was considered a success, apparently things did not totally go as expected. Vader’s son Jesse White posted an update on Twitter: “This is his son Jesse. I wanted to let everybody know that I […]
WWE is reporting that Shane McMahon is currently recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia at a New York hospital. McMahon has been off TV after a storyline attack by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The belief was that the storyline would lead to his return next week so he could set up a […]
The rumors have been out there for a couple of weeks and now it’s confirmed. Court Bauer’s Major League Wrestling has signed a television deal with beIN Sports. The news was reported by Sports Illustrated on Monday. The weekly show will air on Friday night’s at 8 pm eastern, opposite of New Japan Pro Wrestling […]
If you loved the Ultimate Deletion then this is going to make all of your senses dance in jubilation. WWE might have made sure they apologized for Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy’s battle on the compound last week on Raw, but WWE recently put out a much longer version of their encounter including many things that […]
Executive Vice President of Impact WrestlingScott D’Amore watched NJPW‘s Strong Style Evolved last night, but not from home — he was part of the crowd!
D’Amore attended the event alongside his co-Vice President Don Callis, who also does commentary for New Japan, and they watched from the top of the bleachers while mingling with fans/friends.
It’s no secret that Impact is looking to partner with other companies as part of their business plan going forward, and D’Amore was last seen in NJPW after the company agreed to a working agreement with GFW, but there’s no word on the two sides discussing any business this weekend.
Would you like to see Impact work with NJPW again? Tell us in the comments below.
Cody Rhodes has issued a statement (kayfabe, of course) after his actions at Sunday night’s NJPW Strong Style Evolved show: “It is with a heavy heart and the hope that this will be read by open minds, that I release this statement. Nick Jackson is my friend. At the climax of last night’s “Strong Style […]
